These photographs show the painting of one of the panels for Standing Waves by participants from the Well Women Centre. This canal trip and painting session took place on Saturday 7th October 2023 as the barge sailed on the Aire and Calder Navigation from Stanley Ferry to Whitwood.
The waveforms are based on a diagram showing the standing waves in a church organ pipe, specifically the first, third and fifth eigenmodes.
