When executing the Boundary No Boundary project I was often asked what the view was like looking INTO the Wakefield District. I combined the request with my desire to capture the changing landscape of that area, as the megastructures of the post-war industrial boom are slowly decommissioned and replaced by new industries. These four paintings, triptychs similar to Boundary No Boundary, are the first steps, views from the edge of the district at a turning point in its appearance.
All were painted plein air.
