From November 2020 to January 2021 I delivered a Westgate Heritage Action Zone project for Edgelands Arts and Wakefield Council. Each individual building is a silk painting of a building on Westgate, painted by people from Wakefield during the winter lockdown. I photographed the buildings and then drew them up in gutta on stretched silk. I cannot thank enough the many people who contributed to this piece during those difficult times. The silks and painting kits were dropped off for people to complete. They were then collected and scanned. I digitally stitched the paintings together to present a view of both sides of the street. The south side is the top two rows up to and including the small green shop, the north side is from the small archway onwards.

Here is a list of buildings and the people who painted them.
