Two giant ukulele back drops were created for the Grand Northern Ukulele Festival, the first for Pontefract in 2013, the second in Huddersfield in 2015. Both were created using silk paintings generated in Community workshops where participants were responding to the statement ‘what music means to me’.
Both back drops were created with artist Helen Thomas. in 2015 these back drops both featured in the 25th anniversary exhibition at The Hepworth Wakefield.
